In this extract Miles has a talk with Dr. Hyde, because of his action to look out of the window during his lesson. Furthermore he aks him, if he likes his class.
A view days later, he meets Lara for the first time at McDonalds for lunch, who is called Blue Citrus like a usesless person. They are there with Colonel and Hanks. At a Saturday evening, Miles watches MTV together with Alaska in the TV lounge. After watching they talk about Alaskas Parents and her real name. Her mum was a hippie as a child and smoked a lot and her dad was a Republican type. Her dad wanted to name her Mary Frances Young, her mum wanted to name her Harmony Springs Young.When she was a little she called her Mary Young but later as she could decide she wanted to be called Alaska, because of looking to her dad´s globe.
Ninety-eight days before... Colonel, Takumi, Alaska and Miles have to go to the Jury, to get the punishment, because they break the rule. They are nervous, but then they get the reply, that Colonel and Alaska get 10 work hours and Takumi and Miles nothing, because they only watching others smoking.
